Dan Friedrich is a retired business executive with 40 years of experience in North America and Globally with several Fortune 500 consumer products companies. During his business career he was successful at building businesses using critical thinking skills to develop strategies, tactics, and processes. This skill of combining information and ideas from many sources using critical thinking and then communicating the solutions succinctly made him uniquely qualified to write “They Told Us To Just Believe”. He was raised Roman Catholic and followed this religion most of his life but through his passion for reading history he learned that the historical stories behind these religious beliefs were not what he was led to believe. Through his research and global travel, he also became more tolerant and interested in other cultures and beliefs. As a result, he wanted to share his learning with his children and others to help people think more clearly about what they believe, which in the long run will lead to a better, kinder, and less selfish society. He has an MBA from Western Michigan University and lives in Connecticut with his wife Susan, who was instrumental in helping him edit this book. He is also the father of three adult children and has three grandchildren.
